The Schefferville Airport Corporation (SAC) is an essential piece of air transportation and connectivity infrastructure in the Schefferville–Matimekush–Lac-John–Kawawachikamach region. The SAC is managed by a board of directors that includes two corporate members: the Naskapi Nation, represented by the NDC, and the Innu of Matimekush–Lac-John. Management of the airport has been entrusted to the NDC, which runs day-to-day infrastructure operations serving the entire region.
